It wasn’t the easiest ride down but it was a fantastic experience and everyone made sure we were comfortable.
I also did the zip line afterwards which was a lot of fun.

Starting with the Paraguayan POW from Chaco War that had to build the road Kenneth took us vividly through history and provided background on the road and its development to one of the greatest tourist attractions in La Paz area. Also great tips on how and where to travel the road.

Christian was the lead cyclist, photographer, mechanic and bike fitter. In team with the driver of the support vehicle they did an amazing job regarding pleasure, safety, knowledge transfer, riding skills and well professional First Aid. Last but not least Kenneth and also Christian have excellent English skills in order to assess requirements, explain and share.

For the team it is daily business. For us on the receiving end it was an exclusive experience. Like we owned the road. 😉

Gravity carries safety gear other groups don't carry, and when accidents happen the other companies often end up relying on Gravity. snacks along the way, including a light lunch.
After the tour, a full hot meal is provided. They
take photos for you during the tour as well,
which get emailed to you. Also - they give you a
buff (mask to keep dust off your face), water
bottle, and t-shirt to keep. We had a really great
time, and the ride is so scenic - just amazing
views. Despite the name "Death Road", the Gravity team made us feel really safe the entire
time. Highly recommend booking with this
company if you're not familiar with Bolivia, don't
want to worry about anything, and want to be

  Awesome day, very safe - Gus and Luis were extremely helpful guides who made sure safety on the ride was always maintained. Gus pointed out parts of the ride that could be more dangerous so... read more every rider knew when to ride slow and when we could speed up again. The day was made fun and lots of photos of the ride were taken and sent which meant we could just enjoy the ride without having to constantly stop and get cameras out.

The guides are professionals and give you a detailed verbal... read more layout of the trail including places to watch out for (yes, where people have died). I really appreciated that none of the guides rushed anyone to go faster or do anything beyond their comfort level. I read through some of the negative reviews and to address them:
1. Yes, zipline and sanctuary tour costs more. Plan for it if that's what you want. It also does add to the overall timeline. We made it back to hotel at 8pm.
2. Snacks can be improved, especially for vegan folks (more than just an apple please)
3. The sanctuary is barebones and runs on donations. The lunch is plentiful (spaghetti plus meat/veg sauce) but manage your expectations and bring additional snacks if you want specific foods.
4. Showers at the sanctuary are basic too with only cold water- but hey, still nice to clean up after a long ride.
